Dr. Joseph obtained his Ph.D. from UHS/The Chicago Medical School, Internship completed at Yale Medical School, and has a history of making major scientific discoveries published in prestigious scientific journals. These include the discovery of the profound effects of early environmental influences on learning, memory, and intelligence; the environmental and hormonal influences on creating and reversing sex differences; neuroplasticity in the primate brain and the ability of adult primate brain cells to grow, atrophy, or lose or recover functions based on environmental influences. These discoveries were made and published in the 1970s in the Journal of Comparative Neurology, Developmental Psychobiology, Brain Behavioral Research, Behavioral Biology, etc. He has also published major discoveries on human development and evolution, and the nature of language and consciousness. His works have also been featured on the covers of prestigious scientific journals.
Dr. Joseph has published best selling scholarly neuroscience texts (e.g., Plenum, 1990, 1992, 1993, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 1996), which received the highest praise by major scientific periodicals.
